Yes you do! Shower pans have been pre-sloped forever. How is the water going to gravitate down to the weep holes in the drain unless there is a slope to the actual pan? Having a positive drain into the drain pipe will eliminate stagnate water beneath the tile floor. If you need further proof as to the need for pre-sloping the shower floor, I refer you to Tile Council of America. These fine people will give you proper installation methods that meet the National building codes.
